I Passed the OneNote 2010 Microsoft Office Specialist Beta Exam...WooHoo!!
I passed the OneNote Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 Exam today - I liked this exam much better than the SharePoint 2010 Office Specialist exam for two reasons - first it wasn't four hours long; and secondly, it was right on target to test my skills (except maybe the Keyboard Commands that I never use).
There were some challenging parts on the test that I felt I needed more practice (features I don't use as much) but I think that is normal when you take a test. You need to know what the application is capabile of with regards to features/functions and how it can help people be productive, effective and efficient. I'm hoping there will be an Expert exam that challenges me between devices/sharing OneNote notebooks or utilizing Office365 features/functions.
From what I hear from co-workers and my students, OneNote will be utilized alot more in the future in alot of industries but especially Education/Training.
God Bless our Veterans! Have a safe and blessed weekend.

ONENOTE 2010 Beta Test 77-853
I use OneNote as an MCT since our training materials are on OneNote (and I love it!). I took the OneNote 2010 Beta Exam at a Certiport testing center. I didn't expect Short Cut Keys to be all over the test so that threw me off. I did pretty good outside of the shortcut keys. If you are studying for this test, here are some of the shortcut keys from http://www.beezix.com/ Office 2010 Guides that may help you:

How to study? http://www.lynda.com/ videos REALLY helped me - I bought a monthly subscription to http://www.lynda.com/ and went through their OneNote videos. Don't just go through the videos though - do the examples yourself on OneNote 2010 especially if you dont buy the subscription that comes with the samples. The OneNote 2010 Plain And Simple Book helps you get through the features/functions and setup and organize your Notebooks properly - its by Peter Weverka.
If you need to Share your OneNote 2010 Notebooks to SharePoint 2010 - email me at info@sharepointtrainingcenter.com and I'll help you set that up.
Good Luck and email me if this blog helped.
